CGVAC’s Multi-Arc Ion Vacuum Coating Machine is a PVD system designed for applications that require extreme surface hardness, strong film adhesion, and high deposition speed.
The multi-arc process produces denser metal films, more suitable for decorative metallic colors, wear-resistant layers, and mass-production coating on stainless steel, ceramics, and hardware products.
How It Works (Operating Principle)
Inside a high-vacuum chamber, multiple cathodic arc sources ignite controlled arc spots on metal targets (such as Ti, Cr, Zr). These arc spots instantly evaporate the target, generating high-energy metal ions. Under an electric field, the ions strike the substrate surface and build a compact, strongly bonded coating that offers outstanding durability and decorative consistency.
